Katherine Jenkins has broken her silence after discovering that Alfie Boe scrawled “c***” over a poster of her.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Katherine had found one of her posters defaced with the word “c***” written over Katherine’s face.
She later discovered this was actually done by Alfie, after the pair performed together in a West End production of Carousel last year and, apparently, did not get on too well.
But on Loose Women today, Katherine admitted she found Alfie’s actions “upsetting” and told the full story, saying she had no idea there were any issues between them.
Speaking to Jane Moore, Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin and Nadia Sawalha, Katherine said: “I wish I could tell you that that story is not true, but it did happen, it was actually in the Manchester HMV.
“And I read that there’s a big feud between us. I don’t know anything about a feud, I have two kids and an album out, I don’t have any time for a feud.
“I don’t know what makes somebody… you’ll have to ask him, but obviously it was upsetting.
“No-one wants to read that but I’m a big girl, I have to talk about happier things and not let that affect this week.”
Jane said that Alfie’s reps did not wish to comment, but MirrorOnline have approached them for comment.
The story goes that Katherine went backstage at a CD signing in Manchester HMV, and was taken into a back room where she discovered one of her posters had been defaced with the worst word in the English language.
She was thoroughly upset, and was even more so when she asked a staff member who wrote it, and she claims they told her it was Alfie who did the writing.
But Katherine is aiming for happier things, and received a riotous applause from the audience as she tried to move on to cheerier events.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
